Volunteer

The Wildlife Resources Division needs your help to promote the conservation and wise use of Georgia’s natural resources. Enthusiasm and time are all you need to become a volunteer. You choose the level of commitment that works with your schedule, skills and interests. Most volunteer opportunities allow participation by anyone. However, involvement in some programs is restricted. Click on the links below to see how you can become a volunteer in conservation efforts in your area.

Conservation Partners in Action

The Fisheries Section of WRD relies on the efforts and support of various conservation partners to help us achieve our goals. Find out about some recent projects and efforts by dedicated volunteers and conservation groups.

North American Amphibian Monitoring Program

NAAMP is an international study investigating the distribution and relative abundance of amphibians in North America. Volunteers skilled in identifying frogs listen for and report frog species and their relative abundance on predetermined routes three times a year. Volunteers must also pass an online frog ID quiz.
